Dakoda Shepley was born on December 27, 1994. He plays offensive linemen for the Dallas Cowboys of the National Football League.
Shepley attended Holy Names High School. Ice hockey was his main sport, and he only started playing football in his second season after hurting his hand.
At the University of British Columbia, he registered. 2013 saw him redshirt that year. He started at right tackle and right guard for four seasons.
He assisted the group in capturing the Vanier Cup as a sophomore. He was selected as a right tackle Canada West All-star as a senior.

Shepley participated in collegiate football with the UBC Thunderbirds. Following the 2018 NFL Draft on May 4, Shepley was signed by the New York Jets as an undrafted free agent.
Prior to being released by the Jets on August 31, 2018, he attended training camp and participated in three preseason contests with them.
