Mika Tafua Wiki
As a defensive end for the Dallas Cowboys of the National Football League, Mika Tafua is a professional football player. He is 113 kg and 1.91 m tall. He attended Kamehameha High School, where he played high school football, and was a two-time first-team ILH All Star as well as a two-time All-Hawaii selection as a junior.
As a senior, he was also named to the First Team All-State and was named the 2014 Co-Defensive Player of the Year by the Interscholastic League of Honolulu. He participated in collegiate football with the University of Utah’s Utah Utes. His 2017 true freshman year was redshirted. He participated in 11 games in 2018 and made six starts, three at left end and three at right end.
13 of his 14 starts in 2019 came while he was active. In 2020 as a junior, he made all of his starts and led the defensive line with 14 tackles. Additionally, he hurried three quarterbacks, forced a turnover, and broke up two passes. His participation in every game at defensive end for his final college season in 2021 earned him a spot on the Ted Hendricks Award Watch List.
For the season, he made 49 tackles, including 9.5 sacks, a league-high three pass breakups, four quarterback hurries, one caused fumble, and one recovery. The defensive line was also under his supervision. Upon being selected by the Dallas Cowboys in the 2022 NFL Draft, Tafua became a free agent.
