Jake McQuaide is currently in his 12th season in the NFL. The Dallas Cowboys long snapper recently re-signed a year contract with the team.
McQuaide, who is a native of Cincinnati, Ohio received his secondary education at Elder High School. Elder high is a Catholic all-male, college-preparatory high school in the Price Hill neighborhood of Cincinnati, Ohio.
McQuaide was an active youngster and was part of the school football and basketball team. He helped the football team win an OHSAA State Championship as a sophomore. He recorded 10 receptions for 125 yards as a tight end as a senior.

Jake McQuaide attended Ohio State University after high school. During his first year with the Ohio State Buckeyes, McQuaide was rotated in the first seven games at long snapper, along with seniors Dimitrios Makridis and Jackson Haas.
As a result of his inconsistent play, he was taken out of the lineup for the remaining six games of the season.
He received a football scholarship while serving as the team’s long snapper on punts and place kicks as a sophomore.
Throughout his time at college, he continued to serve as the team’s long snapper, but he was never given the opportunity to play the tight end position.
