Tyron Smith is a left tackle for the Dallas Cowboys of the National Football League. He is a professional football player. He is 1.96 m tall and 141 kg in weight. He went to Rancho Verde High School where he played football in high school. After graduating from high school, he received numerous All-Region honors as well as All-American recognition from Parade, SuperPrep, PrepStar, Scout.com, and EA Sports.
He then enrolled at the University of Southern California where he played college football for the USC Trojans football team for three seasons. He was the left offensive tackle’s backup as a freshman. In 10 games, he was active. He started the first twelve games of his sophomore season as right offensive tackle.
In 2009, he received honorable mention for the Sophomore All-American and All-Pac-10 teams from CollegeFootballNews.com. He played in twelve contests as a junior. In the 2011 NFL Draft, the Dallas Cowboys drafted him. Smith made the decision to have neck surgery in October 2020, following which he declared he will miss the remainder of the 2020 campaign. Later, he was added to the reserve list of injured soldiers.
Throughout the season, he frequently had ankle issues. He ruptured his hamstring in a training camp workout at the beginning of the 2022 campaign. At midnight on August 31, 2022, he was placed on the injured reserve list.
