Veteran American football guard, Mark Glowinski of the New York Giants, is currently in his eighth season in the NFL. The Seattle Seahawks initially drafted the former West Virginia player in the fourth round, 134th overall, of the 2015 NFL Draft.
He played for the Giants for three seasons. Glowinski earned the starting position at left guard for the Seahawks in 2016, and he started all 16 games that season.
Glowinski began the 2017 season as the starting right guard for the Seahawks. He started the first two games of the season, but Oday Aboushi eventually overtook him as the starting right guard. Luke Joeckel, a seasoned player, was selected to fill the other guard position, while Ethan Pocic, a rookie, was appointed to fill the primary backup position.
This caused Glowinski to fall to fourth place on the guard depth chart. On December 16, 2017, the Seahawks made the decision to release Glowinski as a result of an injury to Aboushi and the subsequent emergence of Pocic as a starting defensive tackle opposite Joeckel.
He joined the Colts in the 2017 season and played for five seasons. Glowinski signed a contract with the New York Giants on March 17, 2022, that was for three years and was worth a total of $20 million.
