Tanner Hudson is currently playing as an American football tight end with the New York Giants of the National Football League. He was born on November 12, 1994. His college football career was spent at Southern Arkansas.
Hudson was raised in Big Sandy, Tennessee, after being born in Paris, Tennessee. He played basketball and football while he was a student at Camden Central High School.
On April 29, 2018, Hudson signed a non-drafted free-agent contract with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. He was released at the conclusion of training camp, but on September 2, 2018, he was re-signed to the Buccaneers practice squad.
For the final two weeks of the 2018 campaign, Hudson was upgraded to the active roster; however, he did not play in either game.
On March 13, 2020, Hudson re-signed with the Buccaneers for a single season. On September 5, 2020, the Buccaneers released him during final roster cuts; the following day, he was added to the practice squad.
On September 19, he was added to the active roster in time for the team’s Week 2 matchup against the Carolina Panthers. The following day, he was returned to the practice squad. Hudson was added to the San Francisco 49ers practice squad on September 3, 2021.
On January 1st, 2022, he was promoted to the active roster. On February 2, 2022, he agreed to a reserve/future deal with the 49ers. On August 23, he was released.
The New York Giants signed Hudson on August 25, 2022.
