Tanner Hudson plays tight end for the New York Giants of the National Football League. He participated in college football at Southern Arkansas. Hudson was raised in the Tennessee towns of Big Sandy and Paris, respectively.
He participated in basketball and football while attending Camden Central High School.
In football, Hudson was a quarterback, a kicker, and a punter.
He has voted the District 11-AA Most Valuable Punter as a junior after averaging 38.7 yards on punts and passing for 581 yards and seven touchdowns in addition to rushing for 152 yards and three more scores. Four games into his senior year, an injury ended his season.

Hudson redshirted his freshman year and started his collegiate career at Memphis as a quarterback and punter. After his redshirt year, he made the decision to move to Southern Arkansas University.
Hudson handled the team’s punting responsibilities during his debut season with the Muleriders while switching positions to tight end and eventually wide receiver.
Hudson has caught at least 40 receptions and accumulated more than 600 receiving yards in each of his last three seasons.
He was selected second-team All-Great American Conference (GAC) in his junior year after setting career highs with 48 receptions, 763 receiving yards, and nine touchdown grabs. He also placed third in the conference in punting average with 41.9 yards per attempt.
