Evan Neal is an offensive tackle for the New York Giants of the National Football League. He weighs 159 kg and stands 2.01 m tall. He attended Okeechobee High School before enrolling at IMG Academy. He was regarded as a top offensive line prospect and one of the greatest players in the nation at any position. He was one of Florida’s finest athletes and was regarded as a five-star offensive tackle by all of the major recruiting agencies.
In 2019, he took part in the Under Armour All-America Game. He turned down offers from other universities after high school and decided to play collegiate football with the Alabama Crimson Tide at the University of Alabama instead.
Prior to converting to right tackle the next year, he started each of the 13 games of his rookie season in 2019 at left guard. In the 40 games he started for the Alabama offensive line throughout his college career, he started 13 at left guard in 2019, 12 at right tackle in 2020, and 15 at left tackle in 2021. He was selected as a permanent team captain for Alabama for the 2021 campaign. He claimed that following the 2021 season, he would forego his senior year and join the 2022 NFL Draft. With the seventh overall pick in the 2022 NFL Draft, the New York Giants selected Neal.
