Evan Neal, an offensive tackle with the National Football League’s New York Giants, was born on September 19, 2000, in Okeechobee, Florida.
Before going to IMG Academy in Bradenton, Florida, he previously attended Okeechobee High School in Florida.
He was regarded as a top prospect for the offensive line and one of the greatest players in the nation at any position.
He took part in the 2019 Under Armour All-America Game. Five-star recruit Neal made a commitment to play college football for Alabama.
He turned down offers from other universities to play collegiate football with the Alabama Crimson Tide and picked the University of Alabama instead after finishing high school.
He started all 13 of his games at left guard during his rookie season in 2019 before converting to right tackle the next year.
He was selected as one of Alabama’s permanent team captains for the 2021 campaign. He announced that he would forego his senior year and instead declare for the 2022 NFL Draft following the 2021 season.
In the 2022 NFL Draft, the Giants selected him as the seventh overall pick after playing college football for Alabama.
