Outside linebacker for the National Football League’s New York Giants is professional football player Quincy Roche. He is also rather tall at 1.91 m and 111 kg. For the high school football squad at New Town High School, he played defensive end and tight end. He chose to play football for Temple University after graduating from high school.
He played collegiate football for the Temple Owls from 2016 to 2019. He had 26 sacks and 137 tackles throughout that span. As a result of his 13 sacks in 2019, he was named a SI All-American and the defensive player of the year in the American Athletic Conference.
He transferred to the University of Miami before the 2020 season and continued playing football with the Miami Hurricanes. The Pittsburgh Steelers selected Roche with the 216th overall pick in the sixth round of the 2021 NFL Draft. He agreed to a four-year rookie contract with the Steelers in May 2021. As of August 31, 2021, he was released. The New York Giants picked him up off waivers the following day.
He was cut in August 2022 but joined the Giants practice squad the next day. He was promoted from the practice squad on September 10, 2022, in time for the opening-week contest against the Tennessee Titans. On October 22, 2022, he was added to the active roster.
