Quincy Roche is a professional football player who plays outside linebacker for the National Football League’s New York Giants. He weighs 111 kg and stands 1.91 meters tall. He went to New Town High School, where he participated in high school football as a defensive end and tight end. After graduating from high school, he decided to play football at Temple University.
He played collegiate football from 2016 through 2019 for the Temple Owls. Over the course of that time, he made 137 tackles and 26 sacks. He was chosen as an All-American by Sports Illustrated after recording 13 sacks in 2019 and was chosen as the defensive player of the year for the American Athletic Conference.
Prior to the 2020 season, he transferred to the University of Miami, where he played football for the Miami Hurricanes. With the 216th overall pick in the 2021 NFL Draft, the Pittsburgh Steelers selected Roche in the sixth round. He agreed to a four-year rookie deal with the Steelers in May 2021. On August 31, 2021, he was released. The New York Giants picked him up off waivers the next day.
He was released in August 2022 but the following day was signed to the Giants practice squad. He was promoted off the practice squad on September 10, 2022, in time for the opening-week matchup against the Tennessee Titans. On October 22, 2022, he was added to the roster of players that are currently playing.
