An outside linebacker with the National Football League’s New York Giants, Quincy Roche is a professional football player. He is also rather tall, standing at 1.91 m and weighing 111 kg. For the high school football squad at New Town High School, he alternated between playing tight end and defensive end.
He decided to play football for Temple University after high school. He played collegiate football from 2016 through 2019 for the Temple Owls. He accumulated 137 tackles and 26 sacks during that period. After compiling 13 sacks in 2019, he was recognized as a Sports Illustrated All-American and the defensive player of the year in the American Athletic Conference.
He changed schools before the 2020 season and joined the Miami Hurricanes football team after transferring to the University of Miami. As the 216th overall choice in the 2021 NFL Draft, Roche was selected by the Pittsburgh Steelers in the sixth round. He committed to the Steelers in May 2021, committing to a four-year rookie deal. On August 31, 2021, he was let go.
He was picked up by the New York Giants the next day after being placed on waivers. He was cut loose in August 2022 but the next day joined the Giants practice squad. For the opening-week matchup against the Tennessee Titans, he was promoted from the practice squad on September 10, 2022. On October 22, 2022, he became a member of the active roster.
