Jacob William Brendel is an American football center for the San Francisco 49ers of the National Football League. He was born on September 10, 1992 in Madison, Wisconsin. He is 29 years of age. He has a height of 6 ft 4 in (1.93m) and a weight of 299 Ib (136kg).
Brendel is a native of Plano, Texas, and spent his first two years as a defensive tackle at Plano East Senior High School.
As a junior, he was shifted to the offensive line. He captained the team and was a two-time offensive line first-team All-district selection. Rivals.com ranked him as a three-star recruit and ranked him as the class’s No. 15 center prospect.
Jake Brendel has played for 5 teams in his professional career since 2016 to date. He played for the Cowboys, the Dolphins, the Broncos and is currently with the 49ers
After redshirting his first year at UCLA, Brendel established himself as a permanent center following spring practice, starting all 14 games for the Bruins in 2012. The Sporting News, CBSSports.com, and the Football Writers Association of America all named him first-team Freshman All-America, while College Football News named him second-team Freshman All-America.
