Daniel Zachary Brunskill was born on January 27, 1994, and currently plays for the National Football League’s San Francisco 49ers (NFL). At San Diego State, he played college football.
Brunskill was a tight end at Valley Center High School in Valley Center, California, where he was named to the all-league lineman team under famed coach Rob Gilster.
On May 1, 2017, Brunskill became an undrafted free agent with the Atlanta Falcons. On September 2, 2017, the Falcons waived him, but the following day signed him to the practice squad. On January 15, 2018, the Falcons signed him to a reserve/future contract.
Brunskill was waived by the Falcons on September 1, 2018, but was immediately added to the practice squad.
Brunskill made his Alliance of American Football debut in January 2019 with the San Diego Fleet.
Brunskill joined the San Francisco 49ers on April 11, 2019. Brunskill and the 49ers advanced to Super Bowl LIV, but were defeated by the Kansas City Chiefs 31-20.
Brunskill re-signed with the 49ers on March 20, 2020, to a one-year deal.
On March 12, 2021, the 49ers tendered Brunskill for a one-year exclusive rights free agent contract. On April 13, he inked the contract.
