Wide receiver Darius Slayton plays for the New York Giants of the National Football League. He measures 1.85 meters tall and 88 kg in weight. During his time in high school, he participated in football at Greater Atlanta Christian School. He was ranked among the top 15 prospects at his position by 247 Sports, ESPN, and Scout. While a student at Auburn University, he participated in collegiate football for the Auburn Tigers team.
After redshirting as a true freshman in 2015, he had 13 appearances with 11 starts in 2016. He has a total of 29 receptions this year for 643 yards and 5 touchdowns. He hauled in 35 passes for a total of 670 yards in 2018.
Slayton was selected by the New York Giants with the 171st overall pick in the fifth round of the 2019 NFL Draft. In his debut NFL game, he recorded three receptions for 82 yards, and in his third game, he scored a 35-yard touchdown. Slayton had six receptions for 102 receiving yards and two receiving touchdowns in the Giants’ game against the Pittsburgh Steelers in the 2020 regular season opener.
He hauled in eight passes for 129 yards in Week 5’s matchup with the Dallas Cowboys. He finished with three receptions for 54 yards and a score in the Giants’ Week 2 game against the Washington Football Team but lost a pass in the end zone in the fourth quarter.
