Nick Williams, a defensive tackle, plays for the New York Giants of the National Football League. He is 1.93 m tall and 141 kg in weight. After completing his studies at Minor High School, he applied to Samford University. He participated in football while a student at Samford, playing for the Bulldogs. He received a redshirt in 2008 and served as a backup for two years, from 2009 to 2010.
In 2011, he received a starting role as a result of his 23 tackles and three tackles for loss in all eleven games. He started every game in 2012, outperformed himself in terms of performance, and finished the season with 31 tackles, eight for a loss, six sacks, and a blocked punt.
The Pittsburgh Steelers selected Williams with the 223rd overall pick in the seventh round of the 2013 NFL Draft. On August 30, 2014, the Steelers released him, and the following day he was added to the team’s practice squad. He was signed by the Kansas City Chiefs in November 2014 after being released by the Pittsburgh Steelers. He was signed by the Miami Dolphins in October 2016 and released in September 2017.
Williams was acquired by the Chicago Bears in April 2018. In March 2019, he re-signed with the group on a one-year deal. He agreed to a two-year, $10 million contract with the Detroit Lions in March 2020. He signed with the New York Giants on July 26, 2022.
