Nose tackle D. J. Davidson is a member of the New York Giants of the National Football League. At 1.91 m tall and 148 kg, he is also quite tall. Going to Desert Ridge High School, he played defensive tackle in football. In his junior season, he had 57 tackles, recorded four sacks, caused two fumbles, and added two sacks.
In his 13 games as a senior, he had a total of 67 tackles, 19.5 tackles for loss, 5.5 sacks, four forced fumbles, and two fumble recoveries. During his final season, he also assisted his team in capturing the state title. He was chosen for the First Team All-State by the Arizona Republic after leading one of the state’s best defenses as the defensive anchor.
For the Arizona State Sun Devils football team, he played college baseball at Arizona State University. He only participated in eight games as a freshman due to a season-ending injury, recording 10 tackles, 3.5 tackles for loss, and two sacks. He started 12 of the 13 games he played in as a sophomore, totaling 51 tackles, 4 tackles for loss, 1.5 sacks, and 1 touchdown. He made 15 tackles and one sack as a junior.
He was earned the Curley Culp Outstanding Defensive Lineman during his senior year after recording 57 tackles, 6 tackles for loss, and 4 pass deflections. The New York Giants selected Davidson with the 147th overall choice in the fifth round of the 2022 NFL Draft.
