Collin Johnson plays football professionally and is a wide receiver for the New York Giants of the National Football League. He weighs 100 kg and stands 1.98 m tall. While a student at Valley Christian High School, he participated in football. He declared his intention to enroll at the University of Texas at Austin in April 2014. He played collegiate football at Texas for the Texas Longhorns.
He played in every game as a freshman, made nine starts as a sophomore, and had 54 catches by the end of the campaign. Before his senior year, Johnson’s coach Tom Herman noticed a considerable offseason improvement. He was a member of the Walter Camp Award, Wuerffel Award, and Biletnikoff Award preseason watch lists
For his tricks and 124 yards against TCU in week four, Johnson was named National Player of the Week. Due to a slight knee injury, he was forced to leave the Texas Tech game on November 10. In the 2018 Big 12 Championship Game, he set a record for receiving yards in a final game with 177. Johnson was selected by the Jacksonville Jaguars in the fifth round of the 2020 NFL Draft with the 165th overall pick.
In January 2021, he was placed on injured reserve. In August 2021, he was let go by the Jaguars. In September 2021, the New York Giants claimed Johnson off waivers. Due to a damaged achilles, he was placed on injured reserve in August 2022.
