The New York Giants of the National Football League field outside linebacker Azeez Ojulari in professional football. He is 1.9 meters tall and weighs 109 kilograms. He had 118 tackles and 11 sacks as a senior at Marietta High School prior to injuring his anterior cruciate ligament (ACL). He received four stars right out of high school and was selected for the U.S. Army All-American Bowl in 2018.
He made the choice to participate in college football at the University of Georgia in order to play for the Georgia Bulldogs. He took part in two games during his freshman year at Georgia. While wearing a redshirt as a rookie in 2019, he played in all 14 games and started 13. Additionally, he recorded 36 tackles and 5.5 sacks throughout that period.
He took home two honors from the team’s postseason awards dinner in 2019. He participated in all of the contests and recorded a total of 36 stops, including a team-best 5.5 sacks and a team-high 34 quarterback pressures. He was a starter in 2020, selected to the second team All-SEC, and the defensive MVP of the Peach Bowl in 2021.
He had a major in sport management. With the 50th overall pick in the 2021 NFL Draft, the New York Giants selected Ojulari in the second round. In May 2021, he committed to a four-year rookie deal. He surpassed B. J. Hill to set a new New York Giants rookie record for sacks with 8 at the end of the season. Injured reserve status was given to him in October.
