Matthew Peart plays as an offensive tackle for the New York Giants of the National Football League. Peart is currently in his third season with the Giants.
Peart was born in Kingston, Jamaica, but moved to the United States with his family when he was four years old. They eventually settled in the Bronx, New York.
Peart’s first passion was soccer, although he spent the majority of his life concentrating on basketball. Peart was a member of the Oliver Scholars Program, which helps students from low-income communities prepare for entry into the nation’s most prestigious independent institutions. Peart was able to attend The Governor’s Academy in Byfield, Massachusetts, thanks to a scholarship he obtained there.
Peart joined the school’s football team and contributed to the Governors’ run of four consecutive titles in the Independent School League, despite the fact that he had never played the sport before.
He played on both the offensive and defensive lines for the Governors. Peart, who was given a rating of two stars by the recruiting service, made a commitment to play collegiate football for the University of Connecticut.

The New York Giants selected Peart with the 99th overall choice in the third round of the 2020 NFL Draft. Peart debuted in the NFL on September 27, 2020.
