It came as a surprise to everyone that former Florida State running back Jashaun Corbin was not selected in this weekend’s draft. Corbin made the announcement not long after the completion of the draft that he would be signing a contract with the New York Giants as an undrafted free agent.
Corbin began his collegiate career at Texas A&M, where he played 14 games and accumulated a total of 1,025 all-purpose yards, including 483 rushing yards. The talented young back, who had recently suffered a catastrophic injury, found himself plummeting down the depth chart and ultimately decided to enter the transfer portal.
On December 28, 2019, Corbin made his commitment to attend Florida State. When he transferred to the Seminoles, both he and the coaching staff realized he needed to put in some time and effort to get back in playing shape. Corbin quickly returned to full health and prepared himself to participate in the next 2020 season.
Corbin started eight of the nine games he participated in 2020, and he carried 81 times for 401 yards and five touchdowns. Corbin hauled up 19 passes for 115 yards during the passing game. The talented back also distinguished himself in the classroom, earning a spot on the ACC All-Academic Team and being named a Seminole Scholar in the process.
How Much Does Jashaun Corbin Make?
Jashaun Corbin has an annual salary that is approximately $207,000 on average.
