In the National Football League, Jordan Davis plays defensive tackle for the Philadelphia Eagles. He weighs 152 kg and is 1.98 m tall. Prior to transferring to Mallard Creek High School as a junior, he first attended Hopewell High School. Here, he started playing football. In spite of receiving offers from other universities, he chose Georgia to play collegiate football.
In college, he played football for the Georgia Bulldogs at the University of Georgia. He made 25 tackles and 1.5 sacks while starting four of the 11 games he participated in as a true freshman. The Football Writers Association of America also named him a Freshman All-American. He was also selected to the SEC All-Freshman team.
His sophomore season stats were 18 tackles, 4.5 tackles for loss, and 2.5 sacks. In the COVID-19 shortened 2020 season, he had 16 tackles and a sack while helping his team to triumph in the 2021 Peach Bowl. He had his best season as a senior, compiling 32 tackles, 2 sacks, and a running touchdown.
In the first round of the 2022 NFL Draft, the Philadelphia Eagles selected Davis with the 13th overall pick. After the draft, he signed a four-year, $17 million contract with the Eagles, with the entire sum being guaranteed. A $9.55 million signing bonus was added to the contract.
