He played high school football while he was a student at South Caldwell High School and Hickory High School. Dickerson was chosen by the Philadelphia Eagles with the 37th overall pick in the second round of the 2021 NFL Draft. He agreed to a four-year rookie contract with the Eagles in July 2021. On December 24, 2021, he was removed off the COVID list after being added to it in December 2021.
