T. J. Edwards, an American football linebacker with the Philadelphia Eagles of the National Football League, was born on August 12, 1996. At Wisconsin, he played collegiate football.
On May 9, 2019, Edwards signed a contract with the Philadelphia Eagles after going undrafted in the 2019 NFL Draft. He participated in all 16 games with four starts after making the Eagles’ final roster to open the new season. He becomes operational on October 31, 2020.
Edwards had a team-high 13 tackles in Week 8’s Sunday Night Football matchup against the Dallas Cowboys. He also recorded a strip sack of quarterback Ben DiNucci, which teammate Rodney McLeod recovered and returned for a 53-yard score in the 23-9 victory.

Despite being a quarterback in high school, he was recruited as a defensive player for college football. Edwards had a commitment to Western Michigan at first.
