Jake Elliott is a professional football placekicker for the National Football League’s Philadelphia Eagles. He is 76 kg and 1.75 m tall. He played football and was named to the Chicago Tribune’s First Team All-State prior to his junior year of high school at Lyons Township High School.
He converted 15 of his 21 field goal attempts as a senior, earning second-team kicker honors on Kohl’s All-America List. He received full scholarships from both the University of North Dakota and the University of Memphis following his senior year of high school, but he decided to play for the Memphis Tigers there instead.
After summer practice, he was selected as the freshman team’s starting kicker. He finished his rookie season as the Tigers’ top scorer with 72 points. In addition, his 56-yard field goal against USF broke Stephen Gostkowsk’s 53-yard previous Memphis record. Elliott was chosen 153rd overall by the Cincinnati Bengals in the fifth round of the 2017 NFL Draft.
In September 2017, the Philadelphia Eagles acquired him after the Bengals dismissed him. He surpassed the Eagles franchise record for the best field goal percentage in a single season (90.9%) by making all of his extra point attempts in 2021.
