Jake Elliott is a placekicker for the Philadelphia Eagles of the National Football League. He is 1.75 m tall and 76 kg in weight.
He played football and was chosen for the Chicago Tribune’s First Team All-State before starting his junior year of high school. He converted 15 of his 21 field goal attempts as a senior, earning Kohl’s All-America kicker second-team honours.
He was given the opportunity to attend the Universities of North Dakota and Memphis on full scholarships following his senior year of high school, but he choose to represent the Memphis Tigers instead.
After summer practice, he was selected as the freshman team’s starting kicker. After his first season, he was the Tigers’ leading scorer with 72 points, and his 56-yard field goal against USF broke Stephen Gostkowsk’s record of 53 yards as the Memphis record.
Elliott was taken 153rd overall by the Cincinnati Bengals in the fifth round of the 2017 NFL Draft. He was signed by the Philadelphia Eagles in September 2017 after being released by the Bengals.
He completed the 2021 campaign by making 100% of his extra-point attempts for the first time, breaking the Eagles franchise record for the best field goal percentage in a single season with a mark of 90.9%.
