Jake Elliott, a placekicker with the Philadelphia Eagles of the National Football League, is a football player. His height and weight is 76 kg and 1.75 m tall. He was named to the Chicago Tribune’s First Team All-State at Lyons Township High School, where he played football, before the start of his junior year of high school.
He made 15 of his 21 field goal attempts as a senior, which helped him place as a kicker on the second team of Kohl’s All-America List. Both the University of North Dakota and the University of Memphis offered him full scholarships during his senior year of high school, but he choose to play for the Memphis Tigers there instead.
After preparing over the summer, he was selected as the freshman kicker. He set a Memphis record with his 56-yard field goal against USF, shattering Stephen Gostkowsk’s 2005 mark of 53 yards, and finished the first season of his career as the Tigers’ leading scorer with 72 points. With the 153rd overall choice in the 2017 NFL Draft, the Cincinnati Bengals selected Elliott in the fifth round.
He was signed off the Bengals’ practice squad in September 2017 by the Philadelphia Eagles. By the end of the 2021 campaign, he had completed his first season of 100% extra-point success and surpassed the Eagles franchise mark for the highest field goal percentage in a single season with 90.9%.
