Jordan Mailata is a professional football player who is now an offensive lineman with the Philadelphia Eagles of the National Football League. He stands 2.03 meters tall and 166 kilograms. Condell Park High School was his alma mater. He was a professional rugby player, and NFL executives encouraged him to apply for their International Player Pathway Program after seeing films of him playing rugby league.
He admitted that he had never played American football and didn’t know much about it. In February 2018, he traveled to Florida to train with coach Aden Durde at the IMG Academy. 233rd overall, Philadelphia Eagles picked Mailata in the seventh round of the 2018 NFL Draft.
He received a four-year, $2.5 million contract from the Eagles along with a $89,392 signing bonus. He made his Philadelphia Eagles debut against the San Francisco 49ers in week 4 of the 2020 season. Nick Sirianni, the head coach of the Eagles, named Mailata the starting left tackle for the 2021 NFL season in August. In September 2021, Mailata and the Eagles came to a four-year, $64 million contract agreement.
