Boston Scott is a running back with the Philadelphia Eagles of the National Football League. He is 1.68 meters tall and weighs 92 kilos. He earned local and state prominence for being the team’s leading rusher as a student at Zachary High School. At Louisiana Tech University, he played four seasons of collegiate football for the Louisiana Tech Bulldogs.
In his senior year, he ran for 937 yards on 163 tries, averaging 5.7 yards per attempt. In 2017, he contributed 1,301 total yards of offense and 108.4 yards per game. In the sixth round of the 2018 NFL Draft, Scott was taken by the New Orleans Saints with the 201st overall pick.
Following his release from the Saints’ first 53-man roster in September 2018, he was re-signed to the practice squad. He was signed by the Philadelphia Eagles in December 2018 from the Saints’ practice squad. He was cut from the roster on August 31, 2019, but was later re-signed to the team’s practice squad the next day.
He rushed for four yards to get his first career touchdown in October of 2019 after being added to the active roster. Scott and the Eagles came to an agreement in April 2021 for a one-year exclusive-rights free agent tender. He was added to the COVID list in January 2022 and activated a week later.
