Kyzir Rasim plays linebacker for the Philadelphia Eagles of the National Football League in American football (NFL).
In the fourth round of the 2018 NFL Draft, the Los Angeles Chargers selected him from West Virginia, where he played college football.
White played high school football at Emmaus High School in Pennsylvania’s fiercely tough East Penn Conference, where MaxPreps and other publications featuring top high school prospects praised his performance.
White chose to attend West Virginia after spending two years at Lackawant Community College, declining scholarship offers from Pittsburgh, Arizona State, Louisville, and Illinois. He made 152 total tackles during his time at West Virginia, along with four sacks, three interceptions, nine passes defended, and four caused fumbles.
White was selected by the Los Angeles Chargers in the fourth round of the 2018 NFL Draft (119th overall). In 2018, White was selected as the 11th safety. White signed a four-year, $3.11 million contract with the Los Angeles Chargers on May 13, 2018, which also included a signing bonus of $654,441.
White has two brothers, Kevin White and Ka’Raun White, who also spent time at Lackawanna before transferring to West Virginia.
The coaching staff of the Los Angeles Chargers made the decision to transfer White to linebacker known during rookie minicamp. White swiftly adapted to his new role and immediately won over the coaching staff. He started facing off against Jatavis Brown as the Chargers’ starting weak side linebacker during training camp.
To begin the regular season, head coach Anthony Lynn named White the backup weakside linebacker to Brown.
An hour before the Chargers’ season-opening game, it was revealed that Lynn had instead decided to start White with middle linebacker Denzel Perryman, Kyle Emanuel, and the rest of the linebacking corps.
On March 26, 2022, White signed a one-year contract, worth up to $5 million, with the Philadelphia Eagles.
