Former Clemson wide receiver, Deon Cain is currently a free agent. Cain was initially drafted by the Indianapolis Colts in the sixth round (185th overall) of the 2018 NFL Draft. He spent two seasons with the colts and later joined the Pittsburgh Steelers practice squad as a free agent.
Before entering the NFL as a professional player, Cain started off his career at Tampa Bay Technical High School in Tampa, Florida, and played as a quarterback for the high school football team.
He was ranked as a five-star prospect and made a verbal commitment to play college football at Clemson University under the direction of head coach Dabo Swinney.
Cain enrolled at Clemson University and played for the Clemson Tigers from 2015 to 2017.

Cain’s time spent playing at Clemson has been marked by both triumph and tragedy. As a true freshman in 2015, he participated in 13 games and made one start, leading the team with 17.1 yards per catch (34 receptions, 582 yards, and five TD).
But because of a ban for failing drug tests that year, he was unable to play in the team’s two playoff games. As a result of the suspension, Cain did not participate in any spring practices. But as a sophomore, he recovered, becoming a more dependable teammate and receiver.
What Happened To Deon Cain?
Cain joined the Philadelphia Eagles practice squad on October 18, 2021. On January 18, 2022, he agreed to a reserve/future deal with the Eagles.
Cain was released by the Eagles on August 30, 2022, and the following day he was added to the practice squad. He was freed on October 31, 2022.
