Davion Taylor plays linebacker for the Philadelphia Eagles of the National Football League. He is 104 kg in weight and 1.85 meters tall. In college, he began playing amateur football. While enrolled there, he received the Coahoma Community College Scholar Athlete Award and a 3.6 grade point average. There, he went in 2016 and 2017.
He transferred to the University of Colorado in 2018, at which point he joined the football team of Colorado. In the 12 games he started that season, he totaled 57 tackles, one sack, and one touchdown. In 2019, he played in all 12 of his games as a senior and finished with 72 tackles and one sack.
He recorded 136 tackles in his 23 career games, starting 19 of them on defense, 20 of them for a loss, including two sacks, and another 12 for no gain. He has also intercepted 2 passes, broken up 9 passes, sacked the quarterback 13 times, stopped the offense on 23 third downs, and recovered 3 fumbles.
He studied Psychology as his major at Colorado, where he is currently pursuing a Leadership Studies degree. In the third round of the 2020 NFL Draft, Taylor was taken by the Philadelphia Eagles with the 103rd overall pick. He debuted for the squad in Week 6 of the 2021 season. After being let go in August 2022, he was later reinstituted to the practice squad.
