Greg Ward is a wide receiver for the Philadelphia Eagles of the National Football League. He is an American. He played football while a student at John Tyler High School, where he graduated in 2013. As a senior, he rushed for 861 yards and 13 touchdowns in addition to passing for 4,202 yards and 39 scores.
He was also named Texas High School football’s Player of the Year. He ran for 1,212 yards with 18 touchdowns and threw for 3,596 yards and 32 touchdowns as a junior. In his second season at wide receiver, he had eight touchdowns and 53 grabs for 667 yards. He was a Houston Cougars collegiate football player while attending the University of Houston.
In 10 games he participated in as a true freshman in 2013, passing for 310 yards and a score. In his second season, he had a solid start as wide receiver with 15 grabs for 139 yards and a score. He was named the 2015 American Athletic Conference Football Championship’s MVP after rushing for 148 yards and two touchdowns.
Ward signed the Philadelphia Eagles on May 11, 2017, as an undrafted free agent. He was bought in January 2019 by the AAF’s San Antonio Commanders. A one-year deal with the Eagles was renewed by Ward in April 2019. He extended his contract with the squad for another year on March 15, 2022.
