Between 2009 and 2013, Tyler Larsen played for the Aggies as a student at Utah State University.
He participated in the first two games of the season as a freshman before suffering a knee injury that forced him to sit out the rest of the year.
After making a comeback in 2010, Larsen started 52 straight games at centre for the Aggies, garnering first-team All-WAC honours twice (in 2011 and 2012) as well as first-team All-MWC recognition in his last season.
In his final two years (2012 and 2013), Larsen also made the watch lists for the Rimington Trophy and the Outland Trophy, and he was named as a finalist for the Rimington Trophy in 2013.
Tyler Larsen is an American football centre for the Washington Commanders of the National Football League (NFL). He played college football at Utah State. He signed with the Miami Dolphins as an undrafted free agent in 2014 and has also played for the Carolina Panthers.
On March 18, 2021, Larsen signed a contract with the Washington Football Team. After Chase Roullier was placed on injured reserve in Week 10, Larsen took over as the starting centre.
He was forced to leave the game early due to injuries in Week 11’s contest against the Carolina Panthers.
He skipped the next two games. Larsen made a comeback in the Week 14 loss to the Dallas Cowboys, but he was carried off the field in the fourth quarter when defensive tackle Neville Gallimore tackled him and quarterback Taylor Heinicke. On December 27, he was placed on injured reserve.
On March 17, 2022, Larsen re-signed with the team. At the beginning of training camp in 2022, his name was added to the physically unable to perform list. On October 8, 2022, he was reinstated to the active roster.
