Free safety for the Washington Commanders football team in the National Football League is Jeremy Reaves. He played football and baseball while attending Pensacola Catholic High School. His 39 tackles and five interceptions earned him first-team all-area recognition as a junior, and his five picks earned him honorable mention All-State recognition as a senior.
He played collegiate football for the South Alabama Jaguars of the University of South Alabama for four of his four seasons. In his sophomore year, his first as a starter, he recorded 96 tackles, eight of which were for a loss, led the team with six passes intercepted, and was chosen second-team All-Sun Belt.
After recording 104 tackles, seven tackles for loss, three interceptions, and three forced fumbles as a senior, he was chosen as the Sun Belt Conference Defensive Player of the Year. With 301 tackles, eight interceptions, 22 passes deflected, and eight forced fumbles, Reaves finished his collegiate career. Due to his performance, in which he registered eight tackles and a pick, he was granted an invitation to the 2018 Senior Bowl.
Reaves signed on as an undrafted free agent with the Philadelphia Eagles in April 2018. The Eagles released him on September 1st of this year. On September 12, 2018, he was included in the Washington Redskins’ practice squad. On December 22, 2018, he made his NFL debut after being added to the Commanders’ active roster in December.
