Currently, Brian Robinson is a running back for the National Football League’s Washington Commanders. Prior to being selected by the Commanders in the third round of the 2022 NFL Draft, he twice won the CFP National Championship while playing collegiate football for Alabama.
Robinson Jr. was born on March 22, 1999, in Tuscaloosa, Alabama. He attended Hillcrest High School, where during his senior year he racked up 990 yards on the ground and scored 18 touchdowns, earning him a spot on the second team of the Class 6A All-State.
Robinson was drafted by the Washington Commanders in the third round (98th overall) of the 2022 NFL Draft. He signed a four-year rookie deal on May 18, 2022.
On August 28, 2022, just before six o’clock EDT, Robinson departed a restaurant in Washington, D.C.’s Near Northeast district. Then he was shot in the glute and knee. There were two people involved in the attempted carjacking.
He was discharged from MedStar Washington Hospital Center the next day without suffering any potentially serious wounds.
Before making his NFL debut against the Tennessee Titans in Week 5, Robinson sat out the first four games of the season. He then ran nine times for 22 yards. The following week, he scored for the first time in his career against the Chicago Bears.
