Cole Turner played college football at Nevada as a wide receiver before moving to tight end as a senior. The Commanders selected Turner in the fifth round of the 2022 NFL Draft and he now plays for the Washington Commanders of the National Football League (NFL).

As a wide receiver for the Nevada Wolf Pack football team, Turner played in 12 games as a freshman after enrolling at the University of Nevada, Reno in 2018.
He switched positions to tight end as a sophomore in 2020, and as a result of his nine touchdown catches and second-place finishes on the team in both catches (49) and receiving yards (605) to Romeo Doubs, he earned first-team All-Mountain West accolades.
