The Washington Commanders of the National Football League are home to linebacker Nate Gerry. He stands 1.88 meters tall and weighs 104 kg. For the University of Nebraska’s Nebraska Cornhuskers team, he played collegiate football.

He switched from linebacker to safety in his second season, made every start, led the Huskers with five interceptions, and came in second on the team in tackles. He also led the team in tackles. With the 184th overall choice in the 2017 NFL Draft, the Philadelphia Eagles selected Gerry in the fifth round. With the Eagles, he captured Super Bowl LII in February 2018. The Eagles placed him on the reserve/COVID-19 list in July 2020, and he was activated in August of that same year. He committed to the San Francisco 49ers on a one-year deal in March 2021.
On September 8, 2021, he was re-signed to the practice squad; however, he was let go on November 2, 2021. In August 2022, Gerry committed to the Washington Commanders. On August 23, 2022, he was placed on injured reserve and dismissed with compensation for his injuries two days later. On November 3, 2022, he agreed to join the practice squad of the Commanders.
