Aaron Monteiro, an offensive tackle with the Washington Commanders, plays in the National Football League. He is 2.01 m tall and 145 kg in weight. He attended Brockton High School, where he played high school football and was chosen to the Brockton Enterprise and Boston Globe All-Scholastic teams. He was also selected for the Big Three Conference and the ESPN Boston All-State team.
He attended Boston Collegiate after high school and participated in football for the Boston Eagles there. In his six games as a rookie in 2015, he started at left tackle five times. He played in 12 games during his sophomore campaign, starting 12 of them at left tackle. In his junior season of 2017, he began each of the 13 games.
As a senior in 2018, he started as left tackle and took part in 70 snaps of the season opener against UMass. After being passed over in the 2019 NFL Draft, Monteiro signed as an undrafted free agent with the Miami Dolphins. Later in the year, the New England Patriots signed him, but six days later they dismissed him.
The majority of his time in the NFL has been spent on the practice squad with the Carolina Panthers, where he signed on in 2020. He still hadn’t participated in a regular-season game. In May 2022, he joined the Washington Commanders.
