As a senior, he was recognized as an All-West Alameda County Conference-Foothill League first-team outside linebacker. Eifler also got an invitation to the United States American Army Bowl.
Eifler attended the University of Washington on scholarship. He played two seasons of college football for the Washington Huskies.
He did not appear in any games during his redshirt freshman season in 2016. The following season, he participated in all 13 games and made a total of six tackles.
In 2018, Eifler moved to the University of Illinois, but he couldn’t play there because of rules about transferring. Eifler played in all 13 of Illinois’ games in 2019 and started 12 of them at linebacker. He made 69 total stops, 10 of which were for a loss, and scored a touchdown on a fumble recovery against Minnesota.
