Baron Browning is a linebacker who competes for the Denver Broncos in the National Football League.
He graduated from Kennedale High School, where he was twice selected for the state’s best team. He made 74 tackles, eight for a loss, and eight forced fumbles as a junior. He was a Buckeyes football player while attending Ohio State University.
He received a degree in communications upon graduation. He was very adaptable and was prepared to play defensive end, inside and outside linebacker, and both. He was selected for the third team of the Big Ten Conference for the upcoming campaign. He played in 43 games, including seven starts, over the course of his college career. He did not redshirt.
He had a total of 110 tackles in his career, along with 18.0 TFLs and 7.0 quarterback sacks. He participated in 12 of the 14 games as a junior in 2019, during which time he was four times chosen as a champion. With 43 tackles, 10 tackles for loss, and 5 sacks, he had a successful season. He was a participant in the Butkus Award Preseason Watch List for 2020.
He was one of 10 prospects from the 2017 class to enrol in classes that January, and he had 14 tackles as a true freshman in 2017. The Denver Broncos selected Browning in the third round of the 2021 NFL Draft with the 105th overall choice. In July 2021, he committed to Denver for a four-year rookie deal.
