He first attended St. Mary’s Preparatory before relocating to Florida to join IMG Academy for his senior year of high school football. At number 46 overall in the second round of the 2020 NFL Draft, Denver Broncos selected Hamler. He made his NFL debut in Week 2 of the upcoming 2020 season. Three receptions and 48 receiving yards were all he had left to give in the game.
He started his sophomore season’s training camp in the middle of a crowded receiving group, still trying to get his hamstring problems, which had cut short his rookie season, under control. He was put on injured reserve for the rest of the season on September 28, 2021, after suffering a torn ACL.
