Defensive end Dre’Mont Jones plays in the National Football League for the Denver Broncos. He is 127 kg and 1.91 m tall. He played football at Saint Ignatius High School, where as a senior he was selected to the first team of Division I All-Ohio and the U.S. Army All-American. He chose Ohio State University to continue his football career after graduating from high school and was a four-star recruit.
He participated in football for the Ohio State Buckeyes at Ohio State. He redshirted as a true freshman during his first year of eligibility in 2015, and by the time he was a redshirt freshman in 2016, he had accumulated 52 tackles overall, including 4 tackles for a loss.
With 20 total tackles, 5 of which were for a loss and 1 of which was a sack, Jones concluded the 2017 season with a slight regress during his second campaign. In the third round of the 2019 NFL Draft, Jones was taken by the Denver Broncos with the 71st overall choice. He suffered a knee injury in September 2020, was placed on injured reserve, and was later activated.
Against the Kansas City Chiefs in Week 7, he registered his first season-high sack. With seven tackles, three for a loss, and a sack in the Week 8 victory over the Jacksonville Jaguars of the 2022 campaign, he was named AFC Defensive Player of the Week.
