P. J. Locke is a safety for the Denver Broncos of the National Football League. He entered the league as an undrafted free agent with the Pittsburgh Steelers in 2019.

Locke started his football career at Central High School in Beaumont, Texas. Locke received all-state and two times all-district honors while he was a student at Central High School.

He also received these honors on two separate occasions. He was chosen as one of the finalists for the Defensive Willie Ray Smith Award, which recognizes the outstanding high school athlete in the Beaumont region, in 2014.

Locke attended the University of Texas, where he played three years of college football for the Texas Longhorns.

Locke played in 47 games during his career and finished with 163 tackles (116 of which were solo), 1.5 sacks (7 yards), three interceptions (24 yards), 15 passes defensed, four forced fumbles, and one fumble recovery (31 starts)

Locke joined the Denver Broncos practice squad on December 17, 2019. He was cut from the active roster in the season’s final week and signed to the practice squad on September 6, 2020.

He made his NFL debut on September 14 against the Tennessee Titans after being promoted to the active roster for the game. He was then sent back to the practice squad the following day.
