On April 12, 1999, Cornerback Damarri Deshon Mathis was born. He now competes for the National Football League’s Denver Broncos. He participated in collegiate football at Pittsburgh.
With 23 tackles, 11 passes broken up, and 2 interceptions in his final game of the year. Prior to his senior year, he used a medical redshirt due to a shoulder problem that wasn’t connected to football.
Mathis was chosen honorable mention All-Atlantic Coast Conference in his fifth season after participating in 13 games, recording 44 tackles, breaking up six passes, and recovering two interceptions, one of which he returned for a touchdown.
He participated in the 2022 Senior Bowl following the conclusion of his college career.
The Denver Broncos drafted Mathis in the fourth round of the 2022 NFL Draft, 115th overall. He currently plays for the team now.

Mathis was raised in Lakeland, Florida, and went to Lakeland Senior High. When Mathis first made his decision to pursue collegiate football, South Carolina had Mathis as a three-star recruit.
Later, he changed his mind about playing for South Carolina and committed to Pittsburgh.
