Latavius Rashard Murray, a running back, is presently a member of the National Football League’s Denver Broncos. Murray, who was born and reared in Titusville, Florida, competed in football, basketball, and track as a three-sport athlete at Onondaga Central High School in Onondaga, New York.
Murray represented Central Florida University in collegiate football. In the sixth round of the 2013 NFL Draft, Murray was taken by the Oakland Raiders as the 181st overall pick. He was selected in the 15th round of that year’s draft as a running back.
On March 13, 2019, Murray and the New Orleans Saints reached an agreement on a four-year, $14.4 million deal. Murray made his Saints debut in the tight 30-28 victory in the 2019 season opener against the Houston Texans, carrying six times for 43 yards and a 30-yard touchdown.
The Baltimore Ravens signed Murray on September 10, 2021, as a result of the injuries to J. K. Dobbins, Justice Hill, and Gus Edwards. He got 10 carries for 28 yards and a touchdown in his NFL debut against the Las Vegas Raiders, but the Ravens fell short 27-33 in overtime.Murray was signed off the Saints practice squad by the Denver Broncos after Javonte Williams’ season-ending injury.
