Michael Ojemudia is a cornerback with the Denver Broncos in the National Football League. He is 1.85 m tall and 91 kg in weight. He played football for Harrison in high school. After high school, he chose to attend the University of Iowa over Indiana, Wyoming, and Eastern Michigan. He played collegiate football for the Iowa Hawkeyes at Iowa.
He redshirted his first year and played in every game as a redshirt freshman. During his sophomore season, he was occasionally inserted into the starting lineup, and his play improved in his junior year. He moved into a regular starting position for his senior season. After his senior year, he participated in the 2020 Senior Bowl and 2020 NFL Combine.
He declared his intention to pursue the 2020 NFL Draft following his senior year at Iowa. Ojemudia was taken by the Denver Broncos in the third round of the 2020 NFL Draft with the 77th overall pick. He earned his first career start and NFL debut in the Broncos’ opening-week loss to the Tennessee Titans. He participated in 78% of the defensive snaps in the final 16 games of his rookie season, recording 62 total tackles, six passes deflected, and four forced fumbles.
After the 2022 preseason, head coach Nathaniel Hackett named Ojemudia as the fourth cornerback on the depth chart to begin the season. He was placed on injured reserve on August 31 and activated in October 2022.
