NFL quarterback Brett Rypien plays for the Denver Broncos. He stands 1.88 meters tall and weighs 92 kilograms. He went to Shadle Park High School, where he played quarterback for his entire four years of high school. By the time he graduated, he had surpassed Kellen Moore’s single-season and lifetime records for passing yards and touchdowns, as well as his records for passing yards and pass completions.
He graduated from Shadle Park early with honors and a 4.0GPA. Right out of high school, both Scout and Rivals rated him as a four-star recruit. He decided to enroll at Boise State University in April 2014, and he began attending in January 2015.
He competed in collegiate football for the Boise State Broncos in Boise. He was the all-time leader in passing yards, completions, and 300-yard passing performances in the Mountain West Conference at the end of his collegiate career. He also finished as the FBS leader in passing yards. Rypien joined the Denver Broncos as an undrafted free agent in April 2019, following the conclusion of the NFL Draft.
He was released by the Broncos in September of 2020 and immediately added to the practice squad. September 25, 2020 marked his promotion to the active roster. Rypien joined the practice squad the next day after being re-signed by the Broncos on August 31, 2021. September 28, 2021 saw his promotion to the active roster.
