Brett Rypien is a quarterback for the Denver Broncos of the National Football League. He is 1.88 meters tall and weighs 92 kilos. He attended Shadle Park High School, where he played quarterback for the entire four years of his high school career. He had surpassed Kellen Moore’s single-season and lifetime records for passing yards and touchdowns, as well as his records for passing yards and pass completions, by the time he graduated.
With a 4.0GPA, he graduated from Shadle Park early and received valedictorian honors. He was regarded as a four-star recruit right out of high school by both Rivals and Scout. In April 2014, he committed to enrolling at Boise State University, and he started going there in January 2015.
In Boise, he played collegiate football for the Boise State Broncos. He led the Mountain West Conference in passing yards, completions, and 300-yard passing performances at the end of his collegiate career. Additionally, he ended first in passing yards in the FBS. After the NFL Draft in April 2019, Rypien joined the Denver Broncos as an undrafted free agent.
In September 2020, the Broncos released him, and the next day they signed him to their practice squad. He was elevated to the list of the active players on September 25, 2020. After being released by the Broncos on August 31, 2021, Rypien was re-signed to the practice squad the next day. He was elevated to the list of the active players on September 28, 2021.
