Eric Saubert is an American football tight end with the Denver Broncos of the National Football League. He was born on May 9, 1994. At 174th overall, the Atlanta Falcons selected Saubert in the fifth round of the 2017 NFL Draft.
Since Pat Dunsmore was chosen in the fourth round (183rd overall) of the 1983 NFL Draft, he was the first player from Drake to be chosen. Saubert was the 12th tight end selected in 2017 and the 20th player selected in Drake University history.
Saubert and the Atlanta Falcons agreed to a four-year, $2.62 million contract on May 11, 2017, which also included a $227,388 signing bonus.
